Kachik Privacy Policy

Kachik is a camera app made by CRIT Studio (Kamalanarayanan Kamalakannan). This policy explains what Kachik does and does not do with your information. The short version: Kachik works on your device, has no account, and does not send your photos or your location anywhere.

Summary

• No account, no sign-up, no login.
• No servers, no remote uploads, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking.
• Everything Kachik does happens on your iPhone.
• Your location is never attached to your photos and is never uploaded.
• The only way any information reaches us is if you choose to email us from Settings.

Information Kachik uses on your device

Camera. Kachik uses your camera to take photos when you tap the shutter. Photos are processed on your device. Kachik does not identify people and does not infer anyone’s identity, age, ethnicity, attractiveness, or style.

Photos. When you import a photo, Kachik uses the system photo picker, which does not give the app access to your whole photo library. When you choose Save to Photos, Kachik asks for add-only permission so it can save that one photo. Kachik does not read or scan your library.

Location (optional). Location is off until you tap the location button. When you do, Kachik requests your approximate location once to suggest nearby colour palettes. This happens on your device. Your exact coordinates are not retained, no background location tracking takes place, and location is never written into or attached to a saved or shared photo.

On-device image sampling. Kachik may look at the current scene on your device to offer an optional colour suggestion. This never leaves your device and is never used to identify a person.

Captions. If your device supports it, Kachik can use Apple’s on-device models to help write a caption. This uses your chosen style and mood, not your photo or any face data. If the model is unavailable, a built-in caption is used instead.

Preferences. Your settings and saved looks are stored locally on your device.

Information we receive only if you contact us

If you use the Feedback option in Settings, your device opens your own mail app with a draft addressed to us. If you choose to send it, we receive your email, your message, and the app version, iOS version, and iPhone model included in the draft, so we can help. We use this only to respond to you. If you do not email us, we receive nothing.

What we do not do

• We do not collect, store, or transmit your photos.
• We do not sell or share your information.
• We do not use advertising or analytics SDKs.
• We do not track you across apps or websites.
• We do not require or create an account.

Children

Kachik is a general-audience camera app and is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date.
